The Famous Big Bang Clock in London

The British capital has several important elements is that we are tourists and we want to spend time entertaining, but one of the visits are unavoidable is without doubt the famous clock called Big Ben, Although in reality this terminology is only for the bell that is located on the highest point being that the rest of the building has been dubbed the Westminster Clock Tower.

Also known as the Torre de San Esteban, It has nearly one hundred meters high and was designed by architect Charles Barry, who chose a Vatican Gothic design for this important work.

Beyond being a valuable post of what is London English and practicality, this clock for years has marked local time with a huge impact, just bringing maintenance problems.

While watching the clock seems a simple task if one makes the visit a particular way, when you hire a guide for it, the trip can be extended for several hours due to the impressive amount of detail that exist around this construction.

Anecdotally, it is worth noting that in each of the bases of clocks is the inscription "God save our Queen Victoria” cut back in 1859, when it became operational.
